White-label
White-label is a product sold by a manufacturer that the buyer rebrands as their own with minimal customisation — typically just label and packaging artwork on top of the standard SKU. White-label differs from OEM (which involves bespoke product specification). Most palm leaf B2B falls under white-label arrangements with optional custom packaging.
In B2B context
White-label is the working norm for palm leaf wholesale across most importer markets. The manufacturer produces a standard SKU range (round, square, compartment, oval, in standard size bands), and the importer adds their brand identity through outer-carton labelling, retail packaging artwork, and consumer-facing print materials. Standard-SKU economics support faster lead times (10-day loading guarantee for Ecodyne customers) and lower MOQs at the per-SKU level.
The line between white-label and OEM blurs at scale. An importer ordering 5+ containers a year of a standard SKU with bespoke retail packaging and a registered Triman label may be operating somewhere between white-label and OEM. Ecodyne treats all such arrangements as a single commercial framework with optional custom-packaging upcharges. Most Ecodyne customers operate white-label across their standard SKU range and reserve OEM for one or two strategic SKUs requiring die-level customisation.
