ISO 9001:2015
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality management systems published by the International Organization for Standardization. It certifies the manufacturer's quality processes — not the product itself. Required by most EU procurement frameworks and large HoReCa buyers as a baseline supplier qualification. Audited annually by accredited certification bodies.
In B2B context
ISO 9001 is the most commonly requested manufacturer-level qualification in B2B procurement of eco-disposable tableware. EU retail and HoReCa private-label buyers will typically require a current ISO 9001 certificate as part of new-supplier onboarding documentation. The certificate is facility-specific and time-bound (three-year cycles with annual surveillance audits) — importers should verify the certificate is current and that the audited scope covers the SKUs they intend to import.
